On Les Cars Rouges' circuit, (on avenue du President Wilson, 11), is located the Musée d'Art Moderne de Ville de Paris, which has now its own website!
This remarkable museum has unfortunately hit the headlines last spring when five master paintings were stolen: the works of Pablo Picasso (The Pigeon With The Peas), Henri Matisse (La Pastorale), Georges Braque (Olive Tree near Estaque), Fernand Leger (Still Life with Chandeliers) and Amedeo Modigliani (The Lady with a Fan) have been stolen during the night of 19 to 20 May 2010.
Read all news and upcoming exhibitions (Basquiat, Larry Clark, Didier Marcel ...) and information on the permanent collections and editions by clicking here.
Note that access to the permanent collections is free, brimming with more than 8000 works, which illustrate the various art movements of the twentieth century.
Les Cars Rouges takes you there: get off at Trocadero, then take Avenue du President Wilson until No. 11. You can also get off the Champs-Elysees / Etoile and walk down Avenue Marceau.
The Museum of Modern Art is closed every Monday and some holidays. More info here.
Les Cars Rouges wishes you a pleasant visit of Paris!
