July 14 is the French national holiday, celebrated every year since 1880. It commemorates the Feast of the Federation, which celebrated the first anniversary of the storming of the Bastille, and marked the end of absolute monarchy.
Dear tourists and visitors, take part in the many festivities that will brighten the lives of Parisians!
On 13 July at 8:30 pm, go to the Place de la Bastille to the great "Concert of diversity". This free concert, under the sign of eclecticism, entertainment and sharing, will bring together many popular artists: Amadou & Mariam, Khaled, Chimene Badi, Uncle Ben Soul, Shy'm, Smod, William Balde, Inna Modja, Sheryfa Luna, Stanislas, Mike Ibrahim, Jean-Roch, Tom Frager, John Mamann, Lord Kossity ...
The national holiday is also an opportunity for firefighters to organize the famous "balls of fire". Forty barracks will be partying in Paris and around the city on July 13 and / or July 14. From 9:00 p.m. to 4:00 am, the firefighters will host this popular meeting that you should not miss. For security reasons, the organizers keep the right of access to the ball. The entry fee may be charged, if not a traditional "barrel" will be installed to receive donations.
A military parade will take place, as every year, on the Champs Elysees in Paris. This year, it will mark the anniversary of 100 years of naval aviation and the 50th anniversary of independence of 14 former colonies in sub-Saharan Africa. At 9:00 am, the troops will be installed for the parade, which starts around 10:30 am.
Finally, do not miss the traditional fireworks display on July 14. This impressive event will gather crowds around the Eiffel Tower and the Champ de Mars. The Trocadéro is the ideal place to attend.
Due to the ceremonies of our National Day, our route will be disrupted on the right bank (Champs Elysées and Grand Palais) until about 1:00 pm. In the afternoon, traffic restrictions imposed by the Police will ban access to Trocadéro and Eiffel Tower stops. Les Cars Rouges still strive to serve as many stops as possible.
The validity of any tickets bought for Tuesday 13 or Wednesday July 14, will therefore, be extended one extra day.
Les Cars Rouges wish you a great July 14 in Paris!
