“Paris Plages” is a summer operation initiated by the City of Paris in 2002. Each summer, on the right bank of the Seine and in the “basin de La Villette ”, the Capital offers summer activities, beaches, sand and grass, palm trees, sports etc... During a full month, the right bank of the Seine is transformed into an oasis of sun and sand and thus inviting the Parisians to free hours of relaxation and activities of all kinds.
On the agenda: basketball, wrestling, fencing, table tennis, "beach adventure" for children ... Many other events (concerts, workshops, performances ...) will permit you to have an enjoyable Summer.
Wanting to combine beach and cultural activities? Buy a hop on hop off pass “Les Cars Rouges”. With our nine stops, you can enjoy the cultural heritage of the Capital while making a stop on the right bank of the Seine. Enjoy the sunny day, bare feet in the sand ...
