Where to find the best baguette in Paris?

Worldwide, the baguette is one of the typical symbols of France and especially Paris. It is also the subject of an annual competition, the Grand Prix de la Baguette, that has just been held on Tuesday in the Chambre professionnelle des artisans boulangers pâtissiers de Paris.

The 10 best baguettes are to be found:

2. Gaetan Romp, 14 rue de la Michodière, 2nd
3. Pascal Jamin (Les Saveurs du 20ème), 120 rue de Bagnolet, 20th
4. Gontran Cherrier, 22 rue Caulaincourt, 18th
5. Mr. Risser (Le Fournil du Village), 12 square JB Clement, 18th
6. Gilles Levaslot (Les Gourmandises d'Eiffel), 187 rue de Grenelle, 7th
7. Jean-Noël Julien (Julien), 75 rue Saint-Honoré, 1st
8. Philippe Marash, 92 av de la République Paris, 11th
9. Philip Bogner, 204 rue des Pyrénées, 20th
10. Le Grenier à Pain St. Amand, 33 bis rue Saint-Amand, 15th

The selection was based on specific criteria: appearance, baking, bread, smell and taste, to obtain a score of 20.

Pascal Barillon winner of 2011, will receive his award May 12 at the feast of bread : 4000 € and the right to deliver the Elysee Palace during the year. But above all, the Grand Prix will offer him an average growth of 30-50% of its turnover.
